Mary shares her love of Chi Omega with two of her daughters – Sarah Scheible Bernhardt and Emily Scheible Whitaker – both are Iota Alpha | SMU. Her husband, David, is a retired CEO and currently advising partner in private equity. David's mother was a Chi Omega - President of her chapter and then her alumnae group after graduating. Mary and David keep busy with their seven grandchildren. Mary is a member of The Margaret Hyde Heritage Society and an Ever at Heart volunteer.
“Chi Omega has given much to the women in my family. My mother-in-law, my daughters and I have all benefited from the social and leadership skills we learned and lifelong friendships we made as undergraduates. As we have moved on with life and careers, we have added new Chi Omega friendships that have become as meaningful as our collegiate ones. I want my granddaughters and the women of their generation to have a chance at the same experiences that Chi Omega has given me. I feel very fortunate to have pledged Chi Omega.”
Mary will match your gifts up to $131,000 if we reach 1,310 donors during Founders’ week.
